Christmas Songs for Student Assembly


We are now in the month of December, which means that Christmas is right around the corner!! In only a few weeks we will be singing for the assembly. Here are the songs that we have chosen this year:

  • In 6th Grade English Classes:
B and D will sing  Mele Kalikimaka in English and Dringilin Dron (B)   /   Dindon Dilin Din Don (D) in Spanish

A and C will sing Christmas Fun for Everyone in English and El Tamborilero in Spanish


  • In 5th Grade English Classes:
A, B, C, and D will sing Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree in English and Mi Burrito Sabanero in Spanish.


  • In 3rd Grade English Classes:
A and B will sing Jingle Bell Rock and Navidad Rock in Spanish

C and D will sing Jingle Bell Rock and Paseo en Trineo in Spanish

Visita de la Cruz Roja

Hoy, 5 de Diciembre, han venido dos personas de la Cruz Roja ha explicarnos diferentes situaciones de accidentes y primeros auxilios. Nos dieron una ficha en la que habían diferentes actividades sobre la educación vial. Explicaron como curar heridas como estas: Quemadura:Poner la quemadura bajo agua fría durante un buen rato Herida:Desinfectar con agua y jabón. Tuvimos poco tiempo pero nos lo pasamos genial. Educación Vial nov 2014






Los días 24 y 25 de noviembre las clases de 6º nos fuimos al centro de educaión vial de la policía municipal de Madrid.Cuando llegamos nos recibieron dos polícias,entramos en una sala que nos explicaron cómo hacer las cosas bien de la educación vial. Luego salimos fuera, cogimos bicicletas y empezamos a hacer un recorrido con sémaforos, pasos de cebra, stops y peatones. Más tarde hicimos un exámen con bicicletas.Y al final hicimos un juego parecido al de pasapalabra. fue un día estupendo                ¡Nos lo pasamos genial!

Visita al Colegio de Arquitectos




La semana pasada los alumnos de 6º fuimos al Colegio de Arquitectos.
Al llegar nos recibieron tres personas, un hombre llamado Miguel, y dos mujeres llamadas Maribel y Pilar.
Nos condujeron a una sala. Alli nos explicaron muchas cosas sobre el Sol, la energía. el calor y la luz.
Después con una cámara térmica nos demostraron la reacción provocada al mezclar objetos fríos y calientes.
Luego nos propusieron una curiosa y divertida actividad. Debíamos diseñar un edificio basándonos en lo que habíamos aprendido.Al final de la visita nos hicieron una foto con la cámara térmica.

Present Perfect

In English class we have been learning and practicing the present perfect tense.  We use the present perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important. You CANNOT use the present perfect with specific time expressions such as: yesterday, one year ago, last week, when I was a child, when I lived in Japan, at that moment, that day, one day, etc. We CAN use the present perfect with unspecific expressions such as: ever, never, once, many times, several times, before, so far, already, yet, just, etc.

The Respiratory and Digestive Systems

This week in class we have been learning about the respiratory and digestive systems in the human body.  Thanks to our hard work and learning, we now know how we breathe and how food is consumed.  Fun fact: We inhale and exhale air around 23,040 times every day!  Below are some links that can help you learn about the digestive and respiratory systems.  Enjoy!

Welcome Back!

C.E.I.P. Miguel de Unamuno is now in session and we are happy to welcome our 6th grade students back  from their summer holidays as well as our new language assistant, John.  The 2014-2015 school is going to be great as the students are more ready than ever to improve their English, Science, Lengua, and Matemáticas skills.  We wish them all the best in the year to come!
