E. Vial Field Trip

On Monday and Tuesday this week, the students took a field trip to learn about pedestrian safety. They learned many things, for example how to safely ride a bike, to follow the traffic rules, and to safely cross the street. Now we are all safer citizens. Take a look at some of the pictures here!

Carnival

On Friday we celebrated Carnival at school. All of the students were dressed up and it was impressive to see all of the widows (viudos/as) and people dressed in black funeral clothes. Students, teachers, parents, and other family members all enjoyed the celebration.

After a quick walk around the school the students were able to burn their sardines and cry over the loss. At the end we all were able to enjoy some nice hot chocolate and cake.

Pen Pal Letters

We have finally mailed our pen-pal letters! They will soon arrive in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are excited to wait for another letter from our American friends at Manchester Academic Charter School. We should have enough time to send them one more letter this year and learn a little more about their culture, as well as share our Spanish culture with them.
