Water
In Citizenship we are going to make t-shirts. We will be decorating them with pictures and slogans related to water since this is the International Year of Water Cooperation. This poster gives you more information about World Water Day and this special year. For more information, check out the United Nations' special brochure.
The UN also suggests you watch these videos. (They might be difficult to understand!) Here is a song about water. Do you like it?
Water is one of the most valuable resources we have and we all must do our part to conserve it. We also must remember that it is something we all share and wasting it effects everone.
Water is very beautiful. Look at these photos taken by children around the world.
Now lets talk about YOU and water: First, lets see how much you know about water. Try doing this fun quiz. Then, check out this website. Do you do those things around the house to save water? Can you find all the ways this family conserves water? What about drinking bottled water versus drinking tap water. Do you think there is a difference?
Finally, think about this
Are you surprised??

Modal verbs of deduction
Since there is an English TEST on Friday, here is some grammar practice:
In this unit, we have learned about "modal verbs"--must, might, may, could, can't.
This is a very easy exercise. Did you get 100%? Here is another quiz.
Extra: Do you remember what the word "disappointed" means? It's part of this lesson!
