Ecosystems and The Faunia
Last Sunday I had great fortune in visiting The Faunia here in Madrid! It reminded me of some of the things we've been learning about here in 5th grade like animals, mammals and ecosystems. The map from the Faunia's website shows some of the ecosystems that they have attempted to re-create, have a look: Ecosystems within The Faunia Also, here are some photos from when I was there:

JOAN MANUEL GISBERT
Petula Clark - Downtown
Downtown, the song we´re learning in English, in the original version by Petula Clark in 1965. Enjoy!

Getting to know IRELAND!
With St. Patrick´s Day next week, on the 17th of March, it´s time to get to know a little more about The Emerald Isle: Ireland.
Here´s a great video set to traditional Irish music, showing the beautiful green landscape of Ireland!
Irish people also love sport... and here are some videos of the two traditional Irish sports; Gaelic Football and Hurling - two INCREDIBLE sports!
Also, here is an animated video telling the history of St. Patrick and the reason the Irish all over the world, and those who want to be Irish for a day or join the celebrations, celebrate St. Patrick´s Day!
Finally, we have a video showing some of the Irish culture.
Have a look and get to know the Irish a little!
