El pasado 25 de enero los cursos 6ºA y 6ºB y el 26 de enero 6ºC y 6ºD fuimos a una excursión a la pista de la policia municipal. Salimos del colegio a las 9:15 a.m , fuimos en autobus hasta Usera.Nos repartimos 11 de cada clase en un grupo.Allí nos dieron una charla de como usar la bici en distintos sitios. Luego nos llevaron hasta el garaje donde nos pusimos una redecillas que pareciamos unos cocineros y tambien unos cascos . Luego nos dieron una bici a cada uno, 24 de ellos hacian un examen practico, mientras los demas estaban con la bici por una mini ciudad. Al final de eso hicimos una especie de concurso del recorrido.

GRANJA DE SAN ILDEFONSO

El viernes fuimos de excursión a la Granja de Ildefonso. Visitamos los Jardines del Palacio, vimos la estatua de Neptuno , fuimos detectives de Neptuno, las monitoras subimos una cuesta , cuando llegamos arriba vimos un lago inmenso llamado el Mar y nos hicimos una foto todos juntos, y descubrimo por qué el rey quiso construir el Palacio en Segovia.

Después vimos el Palacio por dentro, nos enseñaron el Museo de tapices. Vimos un cuadro que estaba toda la familia entera y vimos un montón de estatuas.

El viernes 13 de mayo fuimos a Micrópolix que está en San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid.En el autobús todos teníamos grandes esperanzas. Empezamos a cantar , chillar y animar al Miguel de Unamuno. Eso era una verdadera fiesta, pero la mayor estaría en la gala donde nos llevaríamos una sorpresa: el presentador era Flipy (actor).Primero nos dirigió unas palabras el jefe de Micrópolix, a continuación el alcalde de San Sebastián de los Reyes, y después habló la Consejera de Educación. El primer premio era el nuestro: "la mejor historia " Teníamos grandes presentimientos peroooooo....en 2 segundos nos los quitaron así como a la primera de cambio. Empezaba bien el día... y me quedé sordo de los gritos que pegaban los demás. Me quedé un poco triste pero no siempre se gana, a veces se pierde pero bueno, pensé que nos invitaban a Micrópolix y me lo iba a pasar genial. Nos hicimos fotos, nos echamos unas risas y aunque, no ganásemos, ese día quedará para el recuerdo de 5ºD, porque lo más importante no es ganar sino divertirse. La fiesta continuó en el autobús a la vuelta y espero que el próximo año se repita.

El Palacio Real de La Granja de San Ildefonso es una de las residencias de la Familia Real Española y se halla situado en la localidad segoviana de Real Sitio de San Ildefonso. Está gestionado por Patrimonio Nacional y abierto al público.

El Real Sitio de La Granja está situado en la vertiente norte de la Sierra de Guadarrama, a 13 kilómetros de Segovia, y a unos 80 kilómetros de Madrid. Su nombre proviene de una antigua granja que los monjes jerónimos del monasterio segoviano de El Parral tenían aquí.

El palacio se construyó durante el reinado del rey Felipe V de España, que quedó impresionado de la belleza del lugar durante una cacería. El rey, que deseaba alejarse del viejo Alcázar de los Austrias, ordenó a Teodoro Ardemans la construcción de un pequeño palacio barroco con grandes jardines. Aunque las obras comenzaron en 1721, el propio Felipe V ordenó progresivas ampliaciones del palacio, hasta convertirlo en lo que sería su "pequeño Versalles", aunque es más semejante al desaparecido Palacio de Marly. Desde entonces y hasta el reinado del rey Alfonso XIII el palacio se convertiría en la residencia veraniega de los reyes de España.

En la planta baja de este palacio se exhibía la colección de esculturas de Cristina de Suecia, que esta reina, tras abdicar, había reunido en su exilio en Roma. Fueron adquiridas por Felipe V y realzadas con peanas, que aún subsisten en los espacios originales. Las esculturas fueron trasladadas en el siglo XIX al Museo del Prado y reemplazadas por reproducciones en escayola. Estos salones, decorados con estucos de falso mármol, han recobrado su belleza tras una restauración reciente.

El palacio sufrió un incendio el 2 de enero de 1918 que destruyó los frescos de algunas salas. En fecha posterior, se habilitaron espacios para exhibir tapices, entre ellos el Apocalisis y Los Honores, dos de las mejores series de tapices del mundo.

Edificios y dependencias

El conjunto del Palacio Real de San Ildefonso lo conforman el palacio propiamente dicho y una serie de edificios anejos, que dan a aquel una forma de U, con los Jardines del Medio Punto, donde que se alzan imponentes árboles de especies coníferas, dispuestos en lo que sería la plaza de distribución. El palacio, en la parte frotal del complejo, consta de dos patios, el de los Coches, a la izquierda, y el de la Herradura, a la derecha. Anexada al palacio, se halla la antigua Capilla del monarca, la Real Colegiata de la Santísima Trinidad, que a su vez contiene un espacio conocido como Capilla de la Reliquias y Cenotafio Real, ya que aquí están enterrados el rey Felipe V y su segunda esposa, Isabel de Farnesio, cuyos restos descansan en un suntuoso mausoleo.

En perpendicular al palacio, por la parte izquierda, se sitúa una dependencia conocida como Antigua Casa de las Damas. Hoy acoge el Museo de Tapices, donde se exhibe una extraordinaria colección de tapices flamencos, de enorme tamaño y abigarrada iconografía, confeccionados en honor del emperador Carlos I. En el lado izquierdo de la plaza se encuentra otra dependencia conectada al edificio principal, conocida como Casa de los Oficios. Volviendo al lado derecho del palacio, encontramos un edificio exento, pero inmediato al Museo de Tapices, la Antigua Casa de Canónigos, separada de aquel por la calle de la Estebanilla.

Los visitantes al Palacio Real comienzan el recorrido turístico por el Museo de Tapices. A este espacio le siguen otras 24 salas y dependencias, cuyos nombres se citan a continuación: Salón de Alabarderos; Escalera Principal; Galería de Retratos; Pieza de Comer; Pieza de Vestir (o de la Chimenea); Oratorio; Dormitorio de sus Majestades; Gabinete de la Reina y Pieza de la Cama de Repuesto; Tocador de la Reina; Antecámara de la Reina; Salón de Países; Antiguo Oratorio; Comedor; Sala de Lacas; Gabinete de Espejos; Sala del Valor; Sala de la Victoria; Sala de la Paz, Sala de África y América; Sala de Europa; Sala de las Ocho Columnas; Sala de la Fuente; Sala de la Verdad; y Sala de la Conquista.

Los Jardines Reales

Con una extensión de seis kilómetros, los jardines rodean el palacio y son uno de los mejores ejemplos del diseño de jardines de la Europa del siglo XVIII.

Fueron diseñados por el jardinero francés René Carlier, que usó las pendientes naturales de las colinas que circundan el palacio como ayuda para la perspectiva visual y como fuente de energía para hacer brotar el agua de cada una de las veintiséis fuentes monumentales que decoran el parque.

Las fuentes están inspiradas en la mitología clásica, incluyendo deidades, alegorías y escenas mitológicas. Se construyeron en plomo para prevenir la corrosión, aunque pintadas a imitación de bronce para ennoblecerlas.

Las estructuras y el sistema de cañerías de época de Isabel II sigue funcionando en la actualidad. A falta de motores que hiciesen funcionar las fuentes, en el siglo XVIII sus constructores dependían de la gravedad para hacer proyectar el agua a alturas de hasta cuarenta metros. Un lago artificial llamado El Mar se construyó apartado en el punto más alto del parque y provee de agua y presión suficiente a todo el sistema.

Actualmente, sólo algunas fuentes son puestas en funcionamiento cada día. Sin embargo tres veces al año coincidiendo con la festividad de San Fernando (30 de mayo), de Santiago (25 de julio) y San Luis (25 de agosto), se activan ocho conjuntos de fuentes, mostrando un espectáculo admirable al que se dan cita anualmente miles de personas.

El lunes 16/5/2011 fuimos al Palacio Real de Madrid. Nos enseñaron un montón de cosas sobre la vida de los reyes. ¡El Palacio Real mide 16 campos de fútbol! y hay más de 2.800 habitaciones para los reyes, nobles, etc.

También vimos un montón de habitaciones (vestimos a Dustin de rey), en la sala donde vestían al rey.Luego salimos a ver el paisaje y vimos el parque de atracciones.

Nos llamó la atención que el rey comiese en público y cenase en privado pero solo con los perros ,la joya del rey era el Toisón de oro y la de la reina era La cruz de la orden de Carlos III.

Luego fuimos a la sala de alabarderos donde nos dieron una alabarda para saber como en el pasado los alabarderos estaban en la puerta para que no entrara ningún intruso.

Luego fuimos a una sala donde nos enseñaban como ponían la mesa al rey.

Después fuimos a la sala del trono,donde nos enseñó como saludar al rey y la reina hoy en día.

Hoy el autor del libro de ( el mago de Esmirna ) ha venido a visitar a todos los niños de Quinto de primaria de nuestro colegio.

Primero ha ido a clase de Julia para presentarse y hacer preguntas de su fantástico libro a los del A y el B, y después ha ido a hacer lo mismo en la clase de Paco con el C y el D.

Nos enseño algunos objetos de su colección, y regalo algunos marcapáginas para los que adivinasen las respuestas de sus preguntas. Después le regalo a Julia un precioso pendientes de oro con perlas blancas y rubíes.

Yesterday we celebrated St. Patrick's Day.We did many different activities.
With Rosa we danced an Ireland dance, it was a very funny dance.
With Alex and Jason we played a game were you need to put the shamrock in the hat, if you put it properly, you win a present.
With Paco and Laly we painted and decorated a shamrock, if you did it beutifully you got a chocolate coin.
With Julia we played the game "FREEZE", when you win you get a chocolate egg and also we played another game called "MUSICAL CHAIRS".
With Jorge we played games in the computer, that were good.
Finally all of us sang "MOLLY MALONE SONG"everybody were wearing hats.

It was a funny day with lots of activities.

Field trip to the 'Museo Tiflológico'

Hi kids! This week we are all going to visit the 'Museo Tiflológico' or the 'Museum for the blind or partially sighted' in english.

The Museo Tiflologico is among the most unconventional museums in Spain. It is the only museum in the country, and one of the few in the world, that is designed for the needs of the blind and visually handicapped people. It was established in 1992 and is now run by the Spanish National Organisation for the Blind. The museum is divided into three areas – scale models of monuments, a room with works of blind artists and a permanent exhibition room. All exhibits are created to be explored by touching and the visitors are facilitated by audiotapes in English and Spanish, as well as by pamphlets in large type and Braille.

Los glóbulos rojos, también denominados hematíes ó eritrocitos, son las células sanguíneas más numerosas, cuyo característico color rojo se debe a una proteína que se halla en su interior llamada hemoglobina, responsable de ligar el oxígeno para transportarlo desde los pulmones a todos los tejidos del organismo para que las células respiren.

Los glóbulos blancos, o leucocitos, se encargan de proteger al organismo contra el ataque de bacterias, virus, hongos y parásitos. Cuando hay una infección aumentan su número para mejorar las defensas.

Los glóbulos blancos están constantemente atentos a cualquier signo de enfermedad. Cuando aparecen los gérmenes utilizan diferentes maneras para atacarlos; pro ejemplo produciendo anticuerpos protectores que inutilizan a los gérmenes; ó rodeando y devorando a la bacteria invasora.

La plaqueta es el mas pequeño de los diferentes elementos celulares que circulan en la sangre.

Las plaquetas son fragmentos del citoplasma de una célula, el megacariocito.

Su función es la formación de coágulos para ayudar a cicatrizar las heridas.

Se producen en la médula ósea y viven entre 6 y 7 días

It is celebrated every year on the last Thursday of November and is mostly a celebration of family and close friends coming together. They usually eat a meal with a roasted turkey.

Por fin, después de mucho tiempo de espera se acaban las clases por la tarde!!
A partir de junio saldremos a la 13:00 y los de comedor saldrán un poco más tarde, pero ya no volveremos después.
Es un alivio poder descansar en casa sin tener que estar pendiente de la hora.

Además por si esta noticia no nos gustase demasiado la próxima semana nos vamos a Aranjuez.
Lo malo es que el día anterior ( jueves ) es fiesta y algunas personas no vendrán porque se cogerán el puente.
Ya contaremos como nos ha ido la excursión a Aranjuez.

Excursión al Museo del Prado

El martes pasado fuimos los niños y niñas de 6ºc y 6ºd al Museo del Prado.
Allí vimos muchos cuadros, entre ellos los de Goya y Velázquez.
Antonio nos fue explicando las historias de muchos cuadros, eran muy interesantes.
Vimos Las Meninas, Las Tres Gracias, La Familia de Carlos IV, Las pinturas Negras, un montón de reyes y príncipes a caballo...
Después de la visita salimos y fuera y nos fuimos cuando vino el autobús.
Fue una visita entretenida.

Hay estamos todos los viudos y viudas.Hicimos unas sardinas pequeñas y luego las quemaron todos,la pena fué que no quemaron la grande.Fuimos cantando y bailando todo el camino,hasta nos tiraron caramelos.Llorando llegamos al colegio(pero de la risa,jejej).Este año iban de la huerta:hortelanos,calabazas,margaritas,setas...
Los profes también iban de viudos,como los alumnos de 6º.Nos lo pasamos muy bien,pero muy muy bien.Luego nos dieron chocolate con bizcochos.

El día 4 de febrero fuimos a una excursión de educación víal.
Fuimos a un polideportivo en Aluche.
Primero nos dieron una charla sobre bicis y después fuimos a tres circuitos:
Uno de ellos era un circuito con semáforos ,stop y señales.
En otro teniamos que esquivar algunos obstaculos.
En el último teniamos que ir haciendo carreras en grupo.
Fuimos en autocar y nos lo pasamos muy bien.
